Bakers® Winter Competition 2025

1. This Bakers® Winter Competition (“Competition”), is organised and conducted by NBL Botswana (Pty) Ltd (situated in the Republic of Botswana), (“Promoter”) a subsidiary of the AVI Limited Group of companies (a public company registered in the Republic of South Africa) including their affiliates, partners, associations, and agents, with the assistance of their agency, Amped Activations (“Agency”).

2. This Competition is an in-store competition, which will be supported by a radio campaign on Yarona FM. The Competition starts on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and ends on Sunday, 31 August 2025. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered.

WHO CAN ENTER?

3. Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older and have a valid identity document or passport and reside in the Republic of Botswana during the period of the Competition (“Participants”/“you”/“your”). Participants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years must be fully assisted by their parent/legal guardian, who approves of and consents to the Participant’s participation in the Competition and the Participant’s receipt/possession of a prize.

4. Participants may not enter or receive a prize if they are directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants of the Promoter, their subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies; or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.

5. By entering this Competition, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and the Promoter’s decision regarding any issue with the Competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Participants may enter through either the in-store or radio mechanisms. Participants will have to WhatsApp their entries to either the Promoter or the radio station and will incur no charge other than normal data charges. WhatsApp’s that do not get delivered, may be billed by your service provider. Potential winners will be determined randomly in accordance with clause 20. All potential winners will be contacted in accordance with clause 22.

7. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter, the Agency, or the radio station for any entry that is not delivered, received, or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons, including telecommunications failures on the part of the Participant’s service provider, or otherwise. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

HOW TO ENTER

8. To enter the Competition Participants need to:

1. Buy any variant or pack size of the following participating products:

1. Bakers® sweet or savoury biscuits or crackers;
2. Five Roses® tagged or looseleaf tea;

iii. Freshpak® Rooibos;

1. Ellis Brown® creamer.

1. Retain the original till slip as proof of purchase;

1. For in-store entries, WhatsApp PERFECT to +267 71 205 721;

1. For radio entries, WhatsApp BAKERS to +267 391 1066; and

1. When prompted by the automated system, WhatsApp a photograph of their till slip together with their name.

9. Multiple entries from the same Participant are allowed provided each entry is associated with separate purchases.

10. Participants are responsible for their own costs of purchasing the participating products and/or entering the Competition.

11. Only entries that comply with all the entry criteria will be accepted.

12. All correct and complete entries will qualify for entry into the Competition.

13. Separate draws will be held for in-store and radio entries as set out in clause 21. All correct and complete in-store and radio entries will qualify for the grand prize draw.

PRIZES

14. The prizes are:

1. 1 (one) grand prize of a Toyota Starlet Cross 1.5 L motor vehicle to the value of approximately P250 697.00 (including of VAT) (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Six Hundred and Ninety-Seven Pula) (“the Vehicle”).

1. 8 (eight) Starlink kits including kickstand, Gen 3 Router, Starlink cable, AC cable, and power supply to the value of approximately P40 000.00 (Forty Thousand Pula each) with a 1 (one) month 50 – 100 mbps subscription to the value of approximately P400.00 (Four Hundred Pula) each; and

1. 34 (thirty-four) cash prizes of P1 000.00 (One Thousand Pula) each.

15. The total value of the prizes is approximately P327 897.00 (Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-Seven Pula).

16. Participants will be required to present their original till slip as proof of purchase as a condition of being awarded a prize.

17. The prizes are not transferable or negotiable.

18. Other than as set out above, the prizes do not cover any costs of the winners whatsoever.

19. Grand Prize:

1. If the prize winner is not in possession of a driver’s license valid in Botswana, they must ensure that they are accompanied to the collection of the vehicle by a

person with a driver’s license valid in Botswana who will be legally entitled to drive the vehicle.

1. The Vehicle comes with a 4 year or 60 000 kilometre service plan and a 3 year or 100 000 kilometre warranty, as specified by the manufacturer.

1. The Vehicle will not be insured as part of this Competition and the winner will be responsible for all costs related to insuring the Vehicle.

1. The colour of the Vehicle will be pre-determined by the Promoter and no changes can be made.

1. The Vehicle will be delivered nationwide to the winner’s nearest dealership in accordance with the manufacturer’s national dealership footprint.

1. Following transfer of ownership and licensing of the Vehicle, the Promoter will have no further obligations or responsibilities in respect of the Vehicle, arising from any cause whatsoever, and will have no liability for any defects, whether latent or patent, in the Vehicle at any stage during or after this Competition or from any cause whatsoever.

DETERMINATION OF WINNERS

20. Entries will be captured electronically as Participants enter through the designated WhatsApp lines and, when prompted by the automated system, to send a photograph of their till slip and their name. As entries are received, they will be recorded and assigned unique entry numbers in chronological order, e.g., 1, 2, 3. A computerized random number generator will be used to select entry numbers. These numbers will be matched to the corresponding entries to identify potential winners. The selected potential winners will then be verified by checking the submitted till slips to ensure they have made the correct purchase and within the duration of the Competition.

21. The winners of the will be determined weekly in accordance with paragraph 20 by way of a draw done by the Agency in accordance with the following timetable, provided however that this timetable is subject to change in the Promoter’s sole discretion, with approval from the Gambling Authority, should circumstances dictate –
