1. This Trinco® Social Media Competition” (“Competition”) is organised and conducted by National Brands Limited a subsidiary of AVI Limited, including their affiliates, partners, associations and agents (“Promoter”).
2. The Competition is a Facebook competition.
3. The Competition will start at the time that the Competition post is first published on the Trinco Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TrincoTea) on Wednesday, 6 November 2024, and closes at midnight on Wednesday, 27 November 2024. Entries received after the date and time of closing will not be considered.
WHO CAN ENTER?
4. Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older (if under 18 (eighteen) years old, you must be duly assisted by your legal guardian) and have a valid identity document or passport and reside in the Republic of South Africa during the period of the Competition, up to and including the dates of determination of the winners and prize redemption dates (“Participants”/“you”/“your”).
5. Participants may not enter or receive a prize if they are directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants of the Promoter, their subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.
6. The Competition is not open for entry by or on behalf of a legal entity and Participants cannot use the account of a legal entity to enter the Competition. Entries must be submitted by the Participant themselves and not by a third party on the Participant’s behalf.
7. By entering this Competition, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Promoter and the Promoter’ decision regarding any issue with the Competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
HOW TO ENTER
8. To enter, Participants must take a photo of themselves with Trinco® tea and post it with their favourite Trinco® family memory in the comments section of the Competition post on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TrincoTea.
9. Entries must be relevant to the theme stipulated to be eligible to go into the draw.
10. The winner will be determined by a random draw done as set out below.
11. Entries are unlimited on condition that each entry is unique.
12. Participants are required to have their own personal Facebook account.
13. Incomplete, irrelevant or incorrect entries will not be eligible to be considered.
14. Participants are responsible for their own costs of connecting to Facebook. No responsibility is accepted for any entry that is not delivered, received or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons or failure on the part of your service provider. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
PRIZES
15. 10 (ten) winners will be selected at random in accordance with these terms and conditions and each winner will be entitled to 1 (one) prize.
16. Each prize consists of a digital Shoprite grocery voucher to the value of R1 500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Rand) each. The digital vouchers will be delivered to the winners by SMS and fulfilled by Computicket.
17. The prizes are non-transferable or redeemable for cash.
18. The Promoter reserve the right to substitute the prizes for alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the prizes promoted not be available for any reason.
19. The prizes do not cover any other costs of the winner whatsoever.
DETERMINATION OF WINNER
20. The winners will be determined by a random draw done as soon as reasonably possible after the close of the Competition, depending on circumstances.
21. The potential winners will be contacted by direct message from the Promoter to the potential winners’ Facebook accounts as soon as reasonably possible after the determination of the potential prize winners takes place. Participants are advised to monitor their Facebook accounts (and message requests) for any such notifications and ensure that their settings allow them to receive direct messages from the Promoter, failing which, the prize may be forfeited.
22. The Promoter will make 2 (two) attempts to contact and notify the selected potential winner. If the selected potential winner does not respond to the notification and/or direct message by contacting the Promoter within 48 hours after first being contacted, or if after first being contacted by the Promoter, is not reachable, or the winner fails to provide the Promoter with the required information to hand over the prize, the potential winner will forfeit the prize and a replacement winner will be selected from remaining qualifying Participants. This process shall continue until all final winners have been contacted and the prizes have been awarded in terms of these terms and conditions.
23. Winners will only be contacted by the Promoter’s official Trinco® Facebook account page. The Promoter is in no way liable for any damages or losses suffered by a Participant who is contacted by or engages with any fake account purporting to represent the Promoter. Participants are encouraged to report any suspicious accounts.
24. Once the winners have been finally determined the Promoter will make an announcement on its Facebook page on the competition post. The winners’ names will be announced in writing on Facebook.
25. Participants must ensure that the settings on their Facebook account allow for them to participate in the Competition and for the Promoter to see their posts. The Promoter will not be liable for any “hidden” posts or entries, or any entries not received by the Promoter for any reason whatsoever. Only entries that are visible to the Promoter at the cut-off times will be considered.
26. Once the Promoter have received the contact details from the potential winners, he/she will be required to furnish the Promoter with their full name, identity number and answer questions as required in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. If the potential winner qualifies, the Promoter will arrange for delivery of the prize.
27. The Promoter reserve the right to select an alternative winner in the event that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that: (i) a winner is not eligible to win; (ii) a winner has contravened any of these terms and conditions; (iii) a winner has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Competition; (iv) a winner’s conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the rules of the Competition; (v) a winner has acted fraudulently with regards to the Competition; (vi) it would be unlawful to award the prize; or (vii) if the winner fails to accept the prize after 3 (three) attempts for any reason whatsoever, or if after first being contacted by the Promoter, is not reachable, or the winner fails to provide the Promoter with the required information to verify the entry or to hand over the prize. In these instances, the winner will be disqualified and forfeit the prize. The Promoter’ decision shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
28. Prize winners will be required to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of their prize, if applicable, and will be required to furnish the Promoter with their names and identity numbers in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
RESTRICTIONS ON CONTENT OF POST & IMAGE
29. The Promoter reserve the right to remove the Trinco® tag from any content uploaded should the content be deemed unsuitable by the Promoter. All content may be re-shared (or published) by the Promoter in its own discretion.
30. Any caption or other material uploaded by users or Participants do not necessarily reflect the Promoter’ views or ideals. The Promoter do not warrant the accuracy of any statement made by Participants.
31. Images that are uploaded must be original.
32. Participants participate at their own risk and take responsibility for all captions, comments and images under their Facebook account and information provided.
33. The caption or image cannot violate the copyright or other rights of any third party.
34. The caption or image cannot include inappropriate, offensive, illegal or obscene material or gestures (e.g., hate speech or pornographic images).
35. The caption or image cannot disparage, reflect poorly upon or otherwise adversely affect the goodwill and/or reputation of the Promoter.
36. The caption or image must be relevant to the theme of the Competition.
37. Any caption or image determined by the Promoter in their sole discretion to be in violation of the preceding criteria will be void and will not result in Competition entry.
GRANTING OF RIGHTS IN CAPTION & IMAGE
38. Participation in the Competition will require that your name and Facebook account and photo be displayed on Facebook without any liability to the Promoter or remuneration due to the winners. SHOULD YOU NOT AGREE THERETO, DO NOT ENTER THE COMPETITION.
39. The Participant grants to the Promoter the non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable right and license to use, perform, exhibit, reproduce and/or otherwise exploit the caption or image in any manner and in any and all distribution channels, venues or media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice or any compensation to Participant. Participant further agrees, upon the Promoter’ request and without compensation, to sign any and all necessary and appropriate documents so as to effect, perfect or record such grant of license rights.
PUBLICITY AND DATA PRIVACY
40. Other than stipulated above, the winner has the right to decline permission to use their name or image in marketing material or participate in any marketing activity. Should the winner verbally or otherwise agree to it, the Promoter may publish the winner’s name and images on, including but not limited to, the Promoter’ Facebook page or website, if applicable, without any liability to the Promoter or remuneration due to the winner.
41. By entering, a Participant acknowledges that personal information about the Participant will be shared with the Promoter and their agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for prizes to be delivered to prize winners. Such personal information will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013. Participants who have questions regarding any matter relating to their privacy or their personal information, or if they believe there has been a breach of their privacy
or their personal information, may either contact the Promoter or, file a request for access to personal information in accordance with the AVI Manual in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, No 2 of 2000 available at https://www.avi.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Promotion-of-Access-to-Information-Manual.pdf; or, submit a complaint to the Information Regulator in the prescribed manner and form – (https://justice.gov.za/inforeg/index.html). 42. Should the Participant have elected to receive marketing communication from the Promoter and other AVI Limited Group brands, the Participant’s contact details will form part of the Promoter’ databases and they will receive marketing communication on, including but not limited to, upcoming promotions, competitions and offers related to AVI Limited Group brands. The Participant’s personal information will be shared with the AVI Limited Group brands and their agents to the extent necessary to ensure they receive this communication either, via email, or SMS, and for prizes to be delivered to prize winners for example. Should a Participant wish to remove their details from this database at any stage, please select the opt-out option made available to you or contact the Promoter’ consumer care lines.
43. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoter in terms of the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Act, and should any terms or conditions be found to be in conflict with any laws, they will be severable from the remaining terms and conditions contained herein.
44. By entering, a Participant acknowledges that personal information about the Participant will be shared with the Promoter and their agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for prizes to be delivered to prize winners.
45. All personal information relating to the Participants will be used solely in accordance with South African consumer and data protection legislation.
GENERAL
Please note that the following terms require you to take on risk, limit the liability of the Promoter and indemnify the Promoter. Please read them carefully and contact the Promoter if you have any questions!
46. The Promoter reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten, suspend the time period of the Competition, or terminate the Competition whenever it should so choose for technical, commercial, or operational reasons, or for reasons beyond its control or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion. The Competition, its prizes, and terms and conditions may be amended by the Promoter, at any time during the Competition, and will be applied and interpreted within their sole discretion. In such an event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter whatsoever.
47. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Promoter.
48. Participants confirm by their entry into the Competition that neither Facebook nor Shoprite are the promoters of this Competition, and the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated or affiliated with Facebook or Shoprite and they fully release Facebook and Shoprite from any liability in connection with this Competition. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Competition must be directed to the Promoter.
49. The Promoter is not responsible for –
49.1 entries that are lost, late, illegible/garbled, corrupted, misdirected, defective, inaccessible, compromised, incomplete, damaged, or delayed and all such entries are void and will not result in Competition entry; and
49.2 any entry that is not delivered, received or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons or failure on the part of your service provider. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Participants are responsible for their own costs of connecting to the Facebook account.
50. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating, the Participant indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the Promoter, their associated, holding and subsidiary companies, and its directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims or liability arising from participating in the Competition, any Competition-related activity and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of any prize.
51. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable in any way whatsoever, for any claims arising from loss, injury, damage or costs, suffered by a Participant in relation to this Competition or the prizes offered, including but not limited to claims relating to defects in the prizes or any losses caused by such defects or losses arising from incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by Participants.
52. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered as a result of incomplete or incorrect information provided.
53. South African law shall govern these competition terms and conditions and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This Bakers® Festive Competition (“Competition”) is organised and conducted by AVI Distributors Namibia (Pty) Ltd (situated in the Republic of Namibia) (“Promoter”), a subsidiary of AVI Limited (a public company registered in the Republic of South Africa) including their affiliates, partners, associations and agents, with the assistance of their agency, O&L Centre (“Agency”).
2. This Competition is an in-store and on-radio (99FM) competition. The Competition starts on Tuesday, 1 October 2024 and ends on Tuesday, 31 December 2024. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered.
WHO CAN ENTER?
3. Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older and have a valid identity document or passport and reside in the Republic of Namibia during the period of the Competition (“Participants”/”you”/”your”). Participants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years must be fully assisted by their parent/legal guardian, who approves of and consents to the Participant’s participation in the Competition and the Participant’s receipt/possession of a prize.
4. Participants may not enter or receive a prize if they are directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants of the Promoter, their subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies; or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.

6. This is an SMS (in-store) and WhatsApp (on radio) entry Competition. You have to send either an SMS or WhatsApp message from a cellular telephone. Entry from a landline is not possible. Standard SMS and WhatsApp rates apply. All entries, including incomplete entries, may be billed by your service provider. The Promoter shall not be responsible for telecommunication failures on the part of your service provider.
7. No responsibility will be accepted for any entry that is not delivered, received or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons, including telecommunications failures on the part of the Participant’s service provider, or otherwise. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
HOW TO ENTER
8. To enter the in-store component of the Competition you need to –
- Buy any one or more of the following products (“Participating Products”) to the value of N$50.00 from a participating store:
- Bakers® Eet-Sum-Mor® biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Tennis® biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Marie Biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Red Label® Cream biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Romany Creams® biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Choc-Kits® biscuits, 200 gram pack, all variants;
- Bakers® Salticrax® savoury biscuits, 200 gram pack;
- Bakers® Toppers® Choc Mint biscuits, 125 gram pack.
- SMS the word “Bakers” to 445; and
- Retain your original till slip as proof of purchase of the Participating Products.
9. To enter the on radio component of the Competition you need to –
- Buy any one or more of the Participating Products to the value of N$50.00 from a participating store;
- WhatsApp a copy of your till slip to +264830001049; and
- Retain your original till slip as proof of purchase of the Participating Products.
10. Multiple entries from the same Participant are allowed provided each entry is associated with a separate purchase.
11. Participants are responsible for their own costs of purchasing the Participating Products and sending the entry messages.
12. Only entries that comply with all the entry criteria will be accepted.
13. Entries generated by any form or automated means that subvert the entry process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of the Competition rules, may void the entry and may disqualify the Participant.
14. The cellular telephone number used to enter the Competition will be deemed to be the cellular telephone number of the Participant.
15. All correct and complete entries will qualify for and be entered into all draws, including the grand prize draw.
16. The winner of the grand prize (or the person accompanying the winner) will be required to have a valid driver’s license for car rental purposes.
PRIZES
17. For the in-store component of the Competition, 58 winners will be selected at random and each winner will be entitled to 1 (one) prize, save that all entries will also qualify for entry into the grand prize draw.
- The total value of the prizes for the in-store component of the Competition is approximately N$140 000.00 distributed as follows –
- 36 winners will each win N$1 000.00 cash;
- 6 winners will each win N$2 000.00 cash each;
- 6 winners will each win a camping chair to the value of approximately N$2 000.00 each;
- 3 winners will each win a kettle braai stand to the value of approximately N$2 000.00 each;
- 3 winners will each win a gazebo to the value of approximately N$3 000.00 each;
- 3 winners will each win a portable electric fridge to the value of approximately N$5 000.00 each;
- 1 winner will win 1 x grand prize of a trip to Mokuti Lodge for 2 persons sharing for 3 nights (arriving Friday and departing Monday morning), valued at approximately N$50 000.00
- The grand prize trip to Mokuti Lodge includes the following:
- Accommodation for 2 persons sharing (breakfast and lunch included) at the Mokuti Lodge for 3 nights, including a game drive and Sundowner experience; and
- N$27 000.00 cash for dinners, other refreshments, and spending money (N$13 500.00 per person); and
- Car rental for 3 days (from a car rental company and in a class entirely within the Promoter’s discretion).
- The grand prize trip to Mokuti Lodge excludes any other expenses of the winners not detailed under clause 10 above.
18. For the on radio component of the Competition, 12 winners will each win N$1 000.00 cash.
19. The total value of the prizes for both the in-store and on radio components of the Competition, is approximately N$152 000.00.
20. Potential prize winners will be required to present their original till slip as proof of purchase as a condition of being awarded a prize. Potential winners without their original till slip will automatically be disqualified.
21. The prizes are not transferable or negotiable.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the prizes not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
23. The prizes may differ from that shown on the promotional material with regard to illustrations, images, colour, and specifications, and same shall be subject to availability and be in the Promoter’s sole discretion to select same.
24. The prizes do not cover any costs of the winners whatsoever not specified above.
DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
25. The winners will be determined by random draws done in accordance with the following timetable, with one grand prize draw, provided however that this timetable is subject to change in the Promoter’s sole discretion should circumstances dictate –

26. Random numbers will be allocated to each eligible SMS and WhatsApp entry. A computerised random number generator system will be used to select numbers from both the in-store SMS entries and the radio WhatsApp entries and will match those numbers to the relevant entries to identify the potential winners of each component of the Competition.
CONTACTING THE WINNERS
27. The potential winners will be contacted by the Promoter’s agents and informed that they have been drawn as potential winners. They will be required to answer verification questions (which may include but not be limited to providing the original till slip and a copy of their identity document and a driver’s license, as applicable) before they are confirmed as winners.
28. Once the Promoter has verified the potential winners, the prizes will be awarded. Potential winners who are unable to provide the required verification documents will automatically be disqualified from the Competition and a replacement potential winner will be drawn.
29. The Agency will telephonically make 3 (three) attempts within 48 (forty-eight) hours to contact the potential winners as contemplated above. If a selected potential winner cannot be telephonically contacted personally after 3 (three) attempts, or if after first being contacted by the Agency, is not reachable, or a potential winner fails to provide the Agency with the required documents and information, such potential winner will be disqualified as a potential winner, forfeit all potential prizes and a replacement potential winner will be drawn.
30. Delivery of the cash prizes will be by electronic funds transfer and delivery of the other prizes will be arranged with each winner individually.
31. Prize winners may be required to provide acknowledgement of receipt of their prize.
32. The Promoter reserves the right to select alternative winners in the event that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that: (i) a winner is not eligible to win; (ii) a winner has contravened any of these terms and conditions; (iii) a winner has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Competition; (iv) a winner’s conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the rules of the Competition; (v) a winner has acted fraudulently with regards to the Competition; (vi) it would be unlawful to award the prize; or (vii) if the winner fails to accept the prize after 3 (three) attempts for any reason whatsoever, or if after first being contacted by the Promoter, is not reachable, or the winner fails to provide the Promoter with the required information to verify the entry or to hand over the prize. 33. The Promoter reserves the right to announce the winners’ names publicly or on such electronic sites as it may choose, including but not limited to, the Promoter’s websites and social media pages, or on radio. Entry into this Competition is deemed to be consent by Participants to announce their names publicly.

34. Save as otherwise provided in clause 33, winners have the right to decline permission to use their name or image in marketing material or participate in any marketing activity, failing which the Promoter has the right to use their name or image in marketing material or any marketing activity without any liability to the Promoter or remuneration due to the winners.
35. By entering, a Participant acknowledges that personal information about the Participant will be shared with the Promoter and their agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for prizes to be delivered to winners.
36. Should the Participant have elected to receive marketing communication from the Promoter and other AVI Limited Group brands, the Participant’s contact details will form part of the Promoter’s database and they will receive marketing communication on, including but not limited to, upcoming promotions, competitions and offers related to AVI Limited Group brands. The Participant’s personal information will be shared with the AVI Limited Group brands and their agents to the extent necessary to ensure they receive this communication either via email or SMS, and for prizes to be delivered to winners, for example. Should a Participant wish to remove their details from this database at any stage, please select the opt-out option made available to you or contact the Promoter’s consumer care line.
37. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoter in terms of the law of the Republic of Namibia should any terms or conditions be found to be in conflict with any laws, they will be severable from the remaining terms and conditions contained herein.

Any changes to the Competition, including termination thereof, will be communicated to Participants. 40. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating, the Participant indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the Promoter, their associated, holding and subsidiary companies, and its directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims or liability arising from participating in the Competition, any Competition-related activity and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of any prize.
41. 42. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered as a result of incomplete or incorrect information provided.
43. By their entry into the competition participants confirm that the manufacturer/s of any of the prizes are not promoters of this competition, which is in no way sponsored or administered by, or associated with such manufacturer/s, and they full release such manufacturer/s from any liability in connection with this competition. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the competition are to be directed to the promoters. Any product warranties attaching to the prizes from the original equipment manufacturer/s will transfer to the winners.
44. The laws of the Republic of Namibia shall govern these competition terms and conditions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- This Festive Favourites Competition (“Competition”), in which Participants stand a chance to win a share of prizes to a value of approximately P110 000.00 (One Hundred and Ten Thousand Pula), is organised and conducted by NBL Botswana (Pty) Ltd (situated in the Republic of Botswana), (“Promoter”) a subsidiary of the AVI Limited Group of companies (a public company registered in the Republic of South Africa) including their affiliates, partners, associations and agents, with the assistance of their agency, Amped Activate (“Agency”).
- This Competition is an in-store and radio competition (Yarona FM). The Competition starts on Tuesday, 1 October 2024 and ends on Tuesday, 31 December 2024. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered.
WHO CAN ENTER?
- Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older and have a valid identity document or passport and reside in the Republic of Botswana during the period of the Competition (“Participants”/”you”/”your”). Participants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years must be fully assisted by their parent/legal guardian, who approves of and consents to the Participant’s participation in the Competition and the Participant’s receipt/possession of a prize.
- Participants may not enter or receive a prize if they are directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants of the Promoter, their subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies; or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.
- By entering this Competition, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and the Promoter’s decision regarding any issue with the Competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- This is an SMS entry Competition. You have to send an SMS message from a cellular telephone. Entry from a landline is not possible. WhatsApp entries will carry no charge other than normal data charges that may be incurred by Participants. All entries, including incomplete entries, may be billed by your service provider. The Promoter shall not be responsible for telecommunication failures on the part of your service provider. Winners will be contacted as set out in clause 28. Cash prizes for the radio component of the Competition will be paid immediately following the on air announcement of the winner. The Agency will contact the winners of the in store component of the Competition and make arrangements for delivery of the prizes.
- No responsibility will be accepted for any entry that is not delivered, received or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons, including telecommunications failures on the part of the Participant’s service provider, or otherwise. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
HOW TO ENTER
- To enter the in-store component of the Competition to stand a chance to win a share of prizes to the value of approximately P97 000.00 (Ninety Seven Thousand Pula) you need to –
- Buy any 3 (three) of the following products (“Participating Products”) from a participating store:
- Bakers Eet Sum Mor biscuits (all variants) 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Tennis biscuits (all variants) 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Blue Label Marie biscuits (all variants) 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Romany Creams biscuits (all variants) 200 gram pack;
- Bakers ChocKits biscuits 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Red Label cream biscuits (all variants) 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Choice Assorted 200 gram pack;
- Bakers Topper biscuits (all variants) 125 gram pack;
- Five Roses 26 pack teabags;
- Five Roses 100 pack teabags;
- Five Roses 125 gram loose tea;
- Five Roses 250 gram loose tea;
- Freshpak 80 pack teabags; or
- Freshpak 100 pack teabags.
- SMS “Bakers” to +267 712 05721 (standard SMS rates apply); and
- Retain your original till slip as proof of purchase of the Participating Products.
- To enter the radio component of the Competition to stand a chance to win a share of P13 000.00 (Thirteen Thousand Pula) cash you need to –
- Buy any 3 of the Participating Products (as set out in clause 8(a) above) from a participating store;
- WhatsApp “Bakers” to +267 391 1066 (standard WhatsApp rates apply); and
- Retain your original till slip as proof of purchase of the Participating Products.
- Multiple entries from the same Participant are allowed provided each entry is associated with a separate purchase.
- Participants are responsible for their own costs of purchasing the Participating Products and sending the entry messages.
- Only entries that comply with all the entry criteria will be accepted.
- Entries generated by any form or automated means that subvert the entry process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of the Competition rules, may void the entry and may disqualify the Participant.
- The cellular telephone number used to enter the Competition will be deemed to be the cellular telephone number of the Participant.
- All correct and complete entries will qualify for and be entered into the next draw (following the date of the entry) as set out in the timetable below, and will remain eligible for each subsequent draw until the end of the Competition.
PRIZES
- For the in-store component of the Competition, 28 (twenty-eight) winners will be selected at random and each winner will be entitled to 1 (one) prize, save that all entries will qualify for entry into the grand prize draw.
- The winner of the grand prize will be required to have a valid passport and lawfully be permitted and able to travel outside Botswana.
- The total value of the prizes for the in-store component of the Competition is approximately R97 000.00 (Ninety Seven Thousand Pula) distributed as follows –
- 7 x cash prizes of P1 000.00 each;
- 3 x cash prizes of P2 000.00 each;
- 2 x cash prize of P5 000.00 each;
- 5 x prizes of Fieldbar Cooler Boxes, to the value of P2 600.00 each;
- 10 x prizes of 56cm Kettle Braais, to the value of P1 120.00 each;
- 1 x grand prize of a trip to Victoria Falls for 2 persons for 3 nights (arriving Friday and departing Monday morning), valued at approximately P50 000.00.
- The grand prize trip to Victoria Falls includes the following:
- Return economy air tickets from an airport in Botswana to be determined by the location of the prize winner, to Kasane Airport, Botswana, and then to Victoria Falls Airport, Zimbabwe;
- Shuttles to and from the hotel;
- Accommodation (breakfast and lunch included) at the Nkhosi Livingstone Lodge and Spa at Victoria Falls for 3 (three) nights; and
- Victoria Falls excursion on Saturday;
- Spa Treatments on Sunday;
- P4 500.00 cash for dinners and other refreshments;
- General cash spending money of P3 500.00 per person.
- The grand prize trip to Victoria Falls excludes the following:
- Transport or any other expenses incurred by a winner in travelling from the winner’s home to the first airport of departure, and returning home from that airport;
- Parking at the airport;
- Any other beverages, meals, and/or snacks;
- Any other expenses of the winners not detailed under clause 19
- For the radio component of the Competition, 13 (thirteen) winners will be selected at random and each winner will be entitled to 1 (one) prize.
- The total value of the prizes for the radio component of the Competition is P13 000.00 (Thirteen Thousand Pula) distributed between 13 prizes of P1 000.00 each.
- Potential prize winners will be required to present their original till slip as proof of purchase as a condition of being awarded a prize. Potential winners without their original till slip will automatically be disqualified.
- The prizes are not transferable or negotiable.
- Other than as set out above, the prizes do not cover any costs of the winners whatsoever. Winners are responsible for their own personal tax declarations and tax payments. The Promoter shall not be liable in any way whatsoever.
DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
- The winners will be determined by random draws done in accordance with the following timetable, provided however that this timetable is subject to change in the Promoter’s sole discretion should circumstances dictate –

- The random draws will be conducted as follows:
- In-store component:
A random number will be allocated to each eligible entry. A computerised random number generator system (“Colony”) will be used to select numbers and will match those numbers to the relevant entries to identify the winners. The Agency will then contact the winners as set out in clause 30 below.
- Radio component:
A random number will be allocated to each eligible entry. A computerised random number generator system (“Colony”) will be used to select numbers and will match those numbers to the relevant entries to identify the winners. The Agency will then contact the winners as set out in clause 30 below.
- The potential winners of the in store and radio components of the Competition will be contacted by the Agency following the random draws and informed that they have been drawn as potential winners. They will be required to answer verification questions (which may include but not be limited to providing the original till slip, a copy of their identity document, proof of a valid bank account in Botswana, and a copy of their valid passport) before they are confirmed as winners.
- Once the Promoter has verified the potential winners’ original till slips, identity documents, and, where appropriate, passport, the prizes will be awarded. Potential winners who are unable to provide their original till slips, identity documents, and, where appropriate, passport, will automatically be disqualified from the Competition and a replacement potential winner will be drawn.
- The Agency will contact potential winners telephonically. If a selected potential winner cannot be telephonically contacted personally within 3 (three) months of the draw date, or a potential winner fails to provide the Agency with the required documents and information after having been contacted, such potential winner will, 3 (three) months after the draw date, be disqualified as a potential winner, forfeit all potential prizes and a replacement potential winner will be drawn.
- Payment of the cash prizes will be made by way of electronic funds transfer directly to the winner’s bank account or to an alternative bank account nominated by the winner, in the event that the winner does not hold their own bank account. Arrangements will be made directly with winners of other prizes.
- Prize winners may be required to provide acknowledgement of receipt of their prize.
- The Promoter reserves the right to select alternative winners in the event that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that: (i) a winner is not eligible to win; (ii) a winner has contravened any of these terms and conditions; (iii) a winner has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Competition; (iv) a winner’s conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the rules of the Competition; (v) a winner has acted fraudulently with regards to the Competition; (vi) it would be unlawful to award the prize; or (vii) if the winner fails to accept the prize after 3 (three) attempts for any reason whatsoever, or if after first being contacted by the Promoter, is not reachable, or the winner fails to provide the Promoter with the required information to verify the entry or to hand over the prize. In these instances, the winner will be disqualified and forfeit the prize. The Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter reserves the right to announce the winners’ names publicly or on such electronic sites as it may choose, including but not limited to the Promoter’s websites and social media pages, or on radio. Entry into this Competition is deemed to be consent by Participants to announce their names publicly.
PUBLICITY AND DATA PRIVACY
- Save as otherwise provided in clause 34, winners have the right to decline permission to use their name or image in marketing material or participate in any marketing activity, failing which the Promoter has the right to use their name or image in marketing material or any marketing activity without any liability to the Promoter or remuneration due to the winners.
- By entering, a Participant acknowledges that personal information about the Participant will be shared with the Promoter and their agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for prizes to be delivered to winners.
- Should the Participant have elected to receive marketing communication from the Promoter and other AVI Limited Group brands, the Participant’s contact details will form part of the Promoter’s database and they will receive marketing communication on, including but not limited to, upcoming promotions, competitions and offers related to AVI Limited Group brands. The Participant’s personal information will be shared with the AVI Limited Group brands and their agents to the extent necessary to ensure they receive this communication either via email or SMS, and for prizes to be delivered to winners, for example. Should a Participant wish to remove their details from this database at any stage, please select the opt-out option made available to you or contact the Promoter’s consumer care line.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoter in terms of the law of the Republic of Botswana should any terms or conditions be found to be in conflict with any laws, they will be severable from the remaining terms and conditions contained herein.
GENERAL
- All publicity materials will be the sole property of the Promoter.
- Please note that the following terms require you to take on risk, limit the liability of the Promoter and indemnify the Promoter. Please read them carefully and contact the Promoter if you have any questions!
- In the event that the Promoter needs to shorten, extend, suspend the time period of the Competition, terminate the Competition, change the prizes, or change these terms and conditions for technical, commercial, or operational reasons, or for reasons beyond its control, application will be made to the Gambling Authority in terms of the Gambling (Promotional Competitions) Regulations, 2023, and any changes authorised by the Gambling Authority will be communicated to consumers and Participants.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating, the Participant indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the Promoter, their associated, holding and subsidiary companies, and its directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims or liability arising from participating in the Competition, any Competition-related activity and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of any prize.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable in any way whatsoever, for any claims arising from loss, injury, damage or costs, suffered by a Participant in relation to this Competition or the prizes offered, including but not limited to claims relating to defects in the prizes or any losses caused by such defects or losses arising from incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by Participants.
- The Promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered as a result of incomplete or incorrect information provided.
- Participants confirm by their entry into the Competition that the brand owners of any of the prizes are not promoters of this Competition; it is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with the brand owners of any of the prizes; and they fully release the brand owners of the prizes from any liability in connection with this Competition, other than any product liability that may arise and subsist in terms of relevant consumer protection laws.
- The law of the Republic of Botswana shall govern these competition terms and conditions.
