Nthuse Foundation was established in 2013 with the aim to assist youth with disabilities within varied ranges of disabilities, from physical, sensory, psychiatric, neurological, and intellectual disabilities, to obtain a tertiary qualification. By integrating disabled students with non-disabled students, they are creating awareness that disability is a way of life and not a separate society. They focus on Ability, Attitude and Successful Integration into the workplace. They believe in empowering and equipping youth with disabilities from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, with the means to obtain a Tertiary qualification, to provide them with an equal opportunity to enter into the workplace and become a part of the economically active population.
The AVI Community Investment Trust funding contributed towards 4 deserving students who are living with disabilities to further their studies in commerce and information technology degrees.
