The Enactus programme in South Africa directly promotes and supports leadership and professional development for registered students, present at all public higher education institutions and some private institutions. This programme challenges students to take entrepreneurial action to enable progress, through the entrepreneurship skills development programme and the teams’ educational outreach projects that will improve the quality of life and standard of living of the marginalised communities.

The AVI Community Trust currently sponsors 4 teams in 4 South African universities. With unemployment as the greatest threat to stability and ongoing progress, Enactus and AVI believe that entrepreneurship and the development of the unemployed, will contribute to enhancing and empowering local communities.
